Amanohashidate Park
Located in northern Kyoto Prefecture in Miyazu Bay on the Sea of Japan, “Amanohashidate” is one of Japan’s Three Great Views, along with “Matsushima” in Mutsu and “Miyajima” in Aki.
It is a unique landscape featuring a sandbar approximately 20 to 170 meters wide and 3.6 kilometers long, densely covered with some 6,700 pine trees—a mysterious formation created by nature over thousands of years.
To enjoy Amanohashidate, visitors can not only take in the views from the observation decks but also experience nature firsthand by walking along the sandbar, riding a bicycle or a boat, or swimming at the beach—all of which are popular ways to enjoy the area.
