Amanohashidate Winery
A winery located on the "Aso Sea" side of Amanohashidate, one of Japan's Three Most Scenic Views.
In the vineyards of Amanohashidate Winery, oyster shells and other materials collected from Lake Aso are used as fertilizer, and the grapes are cultivated using methods that closely resemble natural farming. Inside the facility, visitors can view German-made fermentation tanks and the bottling room through glass walls, as well as tour the underground cellar. (Reservations are required for groups.)
