Kobayashi Farm’s Satoyama Experience & Tennis Exchange
Play tennis with the tomato farmers at “Kobayashi Farm”! This unique, all-inclusive package also includes a harvest experience and a stroll through the satoyama. (Lunch, wine tasting, and food sampling included.)
Spend a memorable day at Kobayashi Farm, home of the wildly popular “Tomato Juice” made from organic, fully ripened tomatoes grown right here in Fukuchiyama!
First, head to Sandanike Park to work up a sweat playing tennis with Shinsuke Kobayashi, a former national hard-court tennis champion. Mr. Kobayashi himself will kindly coach you, so even if you’ve never played tennis before, you’ll be able to enjoy it right away.
After your tennis session, head over to Kobayashi Farm to enjoy a delivered lunch from “Bistro Q,” a popular local Western-style restaurant, while surrounded by nature. After lunch, take a leisurely stroll through the rural hillsides with Kobayashi Farm’s adorable goats and dogs. You’ll also get to tour the rice paddies and tomato greenhouses, and try your hand at harvesting. To wrap up the day, we’ll have a tasting of seasonal vegetables waiting for you.
